Offset your carbon

Get a full overview of your carbon footprint, review climate projects, and place your first carbon offset.

Track your impact

Track, learn, and report on your climate impact from your Petredec Carbon Program dashboard.

Already equipped with the youngest and second largest VLGC fleet made up of thirty modern vessels, our six dual fuel new-builds will emit 25% less CO2 than their non-eco equivalents.

Meet your net-zero goals through high-impact climate solutions

Our carbon program links you to some of the most effective carbon offsetting initiatives available. By addressing your company's carbon footprint, you'll contribute to fund these projects to the same extent as your vessel or shipment's carbon footprint has been calculated.

Track and report on your company's positive impact

Through the Carbon Program you will have access to your own company portal where you can review monthly emissions reports, view detailed order history and analysis, access in-depth project content, and track your company's cumulative impact on each project.

Where does my contribution go?

When an organization decides to offset, it pays to support a project that reduces, avoids or captures an amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions equivalent to its carbon footprint. The funds are used to purchase and then retire third-party verified offsets associated with that project. The carbon offsets made available on the platform are Voluntary Emission Reduction (VER) units, which are certified by various credible and internationally recognized carbon certification standards such as the VCS, the Gold Standard, American Carbon Registry, and Climate Action Reserve, as well as Certified Emissions Reduction (CER) units certified by the United Nations. The offset price paid is the total cost to deliver the carbon offset.

How are offsetting projects vetted and selected?

Chooose™ assesses every carbon project we source through a three-step process informed by industry guidance. Chooose’s overall approach adheres to guidance from the and the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative, and it aligns with the . Building on this, we: 1) Confirm the project is certified by a recognized carbon standard. 2) Analyze quality against core criteria (How is the removed or reduced carbon quantified and monitored? How is the project additional? What is the track-record of the project developer? etc.) 3) Compliment our internal analysis through leading external carbon offset evaluations (Chooose is proud to work with BeZero). Ultimately, less than 5% of certified projects meet Chooose's criteria.
